Marine Corps Family

Phyllis Bowlby Rothwell, Colonel Rothwell's wife of 60 years and mother of their two Marine sons, Richard B. and Charles T., died in 1998.

He remarried in 2003 to Rebecca Gutherie Hopkins, an Armer widow of 56.5 years marriage. They reside in Catonsville Maryland. The Rothwells and Hopkins had been long time friends.
